Board of Elders Purpose Statement

The purpose of the CCG Board of Elders is summed up well in the CCG Policy Manual.  “The Board of Elders believes it can best serve CCG’s owner [Jesus Christ] by conducting our regularly scheduled monthly Board Meetings in such a way as to:

(A) Pray for God’s leading and direction.

(B) Pray that all we do as a Church would be for His Glory, Honor and Purpose.

(C) To insure that we maintain a Church culture that is rich in spiritual teaching that is consistent with God’s word.

(D) To assist our members in developing a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior so they are fulfilled in their spiritual lives.

(E) To train our members to know and develop their spiritual gifts so they can become an effective witness and minister for Christ.

(F) Continually review our programs, missions, ministries and activities in which the Church is involved to see where they can be expanded or improved.

(G) To help set the course for long range goals for the ministry of the Church.

(H) To constantly seek what God wants for us as a Church to accomplish for Him in our Community and throughout the World.”

Every Board member considers it both a humbling responsibility and great honor to serve Jesus and His church in the capacity of Elder.  We recognize the role calls for wisdom beyond our own.  Please pray with and for us to honor God in every decision.
