Welcome to Hope Restored

This ministry to younger widows (ages 40s-60s) is led by dedicated ladies who have experienced the death of their husbands relatively early in life. They are seeking to pass along to others the lessons and help that God the Father has faithfully provided to them.

In 2 Corinthians 1:3-7, the apostle Paul assures each of us of the compassion and comfort available to us through our Savior Jesus Christ. We praise the Lord for His enduring faithfulness.

Paul also reminds us of our ability to pass on the comfort we have received to the many who are facing similar troubles and heartache so that we may be filled with hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

This is what Hope Restored is about: to comfort those who are hurting with the same comfort we have received from the Lord. Because of this, we can say with Paul...our hope is firm!

We look forward to growing with you and understanding better the God of all comfort.

We Support One Another

  • By seeking God's guidance through the Word and prayer.
  • By discovering God's love and provision for the lonely.
  • By learning new skills and positive attitudes.
  • By developing new patterns of social activities.
  • By supporting each other in life's daily challenges.
  • By sharing experiences, tears, and laughter.

Getting Together

We meet the first Thursday of each month 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. from September through May at the Community Church of Greenwood.

Each month one of our members plans the program and supplies the refreshments for the evening. We talk, we laugh, we cry, we share our stories, we make new friends, and we learn many things together.

The Hope Restored ladies also meet for dinner once a month at different restaurants throughout the Indianapolis area. We vary the evenings and the locations so that every woman has a chance to fellowship with the group.

Christ is always at the center of each meeting and each activity.
